I was in a “band” at school aged 12 . In 1967.  More like a loose collection of spotty kids strumming on acoustic guitars and no microphones.  I remember we played this song but because we had crappy valve radios and poor record players we could never make out the lyrics so “They practice making up on my face” turned into “Max Factor’s making up on my face”

Audience never noticed though!

Reminds me of when I bought an Octivider pedal and could not stop playing it all the time until everyone else became fed up with it and I have not used it since!  It was great on Wishing Well!
