Songs I Am Listening To

Recommended Posts

I don't attend concerts because I can't smoke.

I've always liked the guitar line in this song by Blind Melon. I understand the singer died shortly after this live video.

I don't know if it is a by product of all my years around chainsaws but I can't handle loud live music anymore. I make a point of bringing my earplugs to concerts these days. I would make an exception for Led Zep though.

I wear plugs at small club gigs, I find it helps with converstaion the next few days, and also with the drive home afterwards. I havent yet had a problem at bigger venues, i suspect it is the music that has affected my hearing (and 20 years of landrover driving) over the years though rather than anything else.

I saw blind melon support guns and roses many years ago, one of the worst bands i have seen. i ignored most of the set, thinking it was some roadies tuning up!!!:thrasher:

Here is a video I took last Friday at Fresno, CA. It's Josh Turner, my nephew is the pedal steel guitar player. For you Brits that's the twangy thing in the background.:) That's him sitting down toward the left side of the stage. Sorry about the quality, I took it with my digital camera.
