Another worthy of note - the planet is now in self destruct mode I reckon...

 

Fair point and obvious but it won't change until we've run the earth dry andthen some bright spark will say 'perhaps we should have changed our use of the planet'

 

Restrict population growth

Tax fossil burning to the hilt

Etc, etc.

 

None of this will be popular but hey ho!

 

Of course no politician will do anything so unpopular...

Public opinion should count. I consider that I have seen the best of the planet and my children won't get to see half of it for one reason or another. I try to do my bit but without the majority the minority will lose out (as with most things). This is all labelled 'environmental anxiety' and of course (as has been said) no politician wants to take the minority vote!
