good shout but the eyes on mine are a decent sized compound eye, two or three times the size on the click beetle.

i may invest in some treatment but these planks have now been straight edged and the off cuts will go on tonight's fire. as long as they are in no other timber i'll take my chances for now as everything is stacked and tricky to get to.

 

 

the customer is picking up this hornbeam so i'm glad i sorted it when i did.
