running a log splitter off a hyd powerpack questions!

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a 3 point linkage splitter and running it off a job beaver hyd power pack, the pump on the powerpack says 125bar, will this run a 12 ton 3 point linkage splitter? Also will it plug straight into the powerpack or will it need different couplings?

We run one of identical pack, probably got smooth faced fittings on power pack and conventional agri on splitter, easy enough to change either. Not sure of size of splitter we've got but powers it ok, bit slower than on the tractor but still goes. Faster return stroke due to ram capacities either side of seals and revs pick up when pressure increases.

Splits logs at end of the day!

I've had a look at the beaver spec and flow is only 20 litres/min.

With a typical 12 tonne splitter I'm guessing a cycle time of 15-20 seconds.

Its going to be a bit slow.

I think the handy pro 7 is faster than that. With a lot less messing about.
