Really? Always found mine very reliable and good machine! Each to there own I suppose! I will be upgrading to a hb20 eventually

We've only had it a couple of months and haven't got a problem with build quality or reliability, it's just so heavy, big and badly balanced, I reckon I burn twice the calories using that over the blue chip.

I had heard it could be a bit of a beast to handle but then I'm considering the extra horses and size.

Why don't you go for one of those turntable stump grinders... not that badly priced and a load way easier to operate / less fatigue.

It boils down to price basically. Second hand turntable machines are few and far between and at my price range, new, I'd be looking at 13-15hp. For the same price I can have the RG25. Extra horses but extra weight.

The kohler engine never gave me a single moments trouble in all the time I had it. The three wheeled version, which I had, could roll over easily enough but could also get round tight corners once you learn how to move it with the cutter wheel.

Check the drive pulleys to the head are not too worn, that'll eat your belts.

It's the same engine as our Dan equip 25 sp but seems twice the size and weight and is a tad top heavy. If it's affordable and reliable go for it but I'd look at other options if they're there.

You probably don't have the same access issues as us so size may not be such an issue.

Access to most places is good so probably not so much of an issue. Price for a Predator 360 I'd $6900 + GST (15%). That's brand new. Price for the 4 year old Rayco is $7500 inclusive.

Is the Dan equip driven by levers? Or do you have to move the head maually?

If so that's a big difference in your effort on a days grinding.
