Whats on your harness ?

Recommended Posts

Oh goodie! A thread where I can unashamedly tell people about some of the shiny new kit that adorns my equally new Treemotion!

Petzl Carritools: 1 large one for my saw, 2 small ones for carrying a Multisaver, retrieval ball and tape slings.

Silky Tsurugi

Lanyard made up of, replacement 5 meter CE Lanyard with two DMM Aeros and my ART Positioner.

Couple of spare karabiners.

I never thought that was overkill atall but some of you guys make me feel like Captain Utility Belt!!

I think mine may be a bit lardy;

1. Treehog harness

2. Silver bull bag with Israeli bandage in the bottom and a endless sling and crab.

3. 5 m split tail on a cut away and rope grab with a crab at the other end. Unused split tail is stuffed in the bull bag and is kept in with a Prussic on a crab just above the bag.

4. Rope in vt and hitch climber.

5. Usually one or two spare crabs.

6. Silky

7. And top handle with a caritool

Could be less!

Depends whether I'm climbing DdRT or SRT. Got four Petzl carritools on my Sequoia at all times, two small two large. Otherwise...

Pretty minimal actually, Lanyard, Silky, Cambium saver.

(Takes deep breath...) Lanyard, Silky, Petzl hand-ascender, foot loop for hand-ascender (only on long ascents), spare pinto and carabiner (in case I want to change over to a top tip) two slings/DMM revolvers for redirects and a DMM anchor ring/XSRE for a retriveable redirect.

I still have a long shopping list of extras I "need" :D
