In fairness to the 550 /560 most fuel issues i have seen with them were down to crap fuel , Most of the cutters around here run them flat out with poundshop oil, never clean or maintain the saws airways or air filter then wonder hows it stopped ? Funny how the dealers always blame faults on the Carb ? Base gasket is a major issue on these saws !

Nope been using husky xp oil as recommend by the dealer other wise will invalidate the warranty!

Run any oil that meets spec and warranty is ok as per handbook , Husqvarna HP is suitable for the entire Husqvarna range of 2 stokes , you could run Stihl oil if you want and the saw is still under warranty .

Just going by what my husqvarna dealer said!

Don't think I will take the chance on anything else, these company's will do anything to get out of a claim.

Although every other bit of equipment I have is Stihl and run all that on HP, bit of a pita really.

I've never used anything other than Stihl cheapo HP.

How would they tell anyway?

Fuel in the carb , or if you tell the dealer its running on cooking oil , Stihl HP meets the required standard for all Husky + Stihl machines , i use HP Super or Aspen 2 stroke oil when i am not running Aspen .
