Do it mate you won't regret it ! Gecko is awfull rope so stretchy, i won one once and palmed it off to 2 other climbers before it eventually got cut up lol

Matty I used to tie mine as you explained/pictured but I had quite a bit of hockling in the tail of the rope. A wise old man at the Treehouse recommended to have the top tail going under the bottom (as in micks last pic) to form the first braid. It has worked so far.

i have been using it for a couple of months and i can see the massive benefits for slack tendering and limb walking BUT i still dont think i have the technique for ascending into the tree, anyone have a video so i can watch someone climbing on it, the pantin is brilliant though
