It is a lot lighter than the petrol version and same here have a knackerd shoulder ,has for battery life the machine has been in me van all week and used on 2 other jobs and still only showing 2 charge lights out of 4 .

I am using the AP180 Battery which is heavier but it balance's the machine well , I like the fact there is no repetitive starting so this has helped with my shoulders.

Ok thanks I used my father in laws long reach up at his house 150 miles from home was not planning on doing any work but his hedge needed doing and he wasn't well so I said I'd do it. It was a corded electric thing long reach but was heavier than the echo long reach I've got and all the weight was at the end of the pole at the end of the cutter. Hedge is only 12foot long and 8 foot high but I was knackered by the end!

Will be taking my own this year!!
