Husky bolts

560 is a great saw, but the cracking AVs seem to shake the powerhead a fair bit instead of your body.

Consequently we find regularly tightening bolts during routine maintenance is a must.

Slacked off a bit and lost two off the exhaust, but one phone call to Skyland had them with us next day.

Cheers.

Credit to Royal Mail as well before you start Mick Dempsey!

My 560 started to sound like a rude boy car the other day, checked bolts and one of the top exhaust bolts has stripped the internal thread it seems, not good. Not sure what it bolts into, saw under warranty so will be phoning in the morning!

But yes, it is a marvellous saw!!

My Husky dealer said on new saws run them up and while the exhaust is hot tighten the bolts, then they will never come undone, if you tighten them whilst cold they will never be as tight. I have lost exhaust bolts off of my 576 so I'm going to try his advice on the new 395.. If I ever rememeber!

If Husky bolts stay done up for a few weeks then they get damn tight and take some undoing to get them out again.

I have had to grind ends off exhaust bolts before to get them off Huskys before now!

A dab of threadlock will help but use one that allows dismantling again - some you will never shift!

You don't have to do that on Stihl.

Or Dolmar

Or Echo

Or Makita

Or Solo. :001_rolleyes:

So bolts on these machines ..NEVER come loose.........really, are you sure about that:sneaky2::001_rolleyes:

Nope, not at all

It's just my way of getting some petty vengeance points after being rounded on by the Husky Varners when my Steeihl was not performing. :laugh1:

Edited to add, it was the OIL, not the SAW that was being a biaartch.
