Spiderjack 2.1 Dyneema faulty?

Hello all,

I think I have a fault with my spider jack 2.1, after reading a few threads and searching the net I thought the best thing to do is see if anyone else has had the same problem as me.

The problem: The spiderjack is not loading under weight.

My spiderjack is set up correctly as the specs and diagram shows in the hand book, it loads when I am static on the ground but as soon as I start to climb its just doesn't want to load. I can load it manual by brining my rope up as if I was stopping a slipping prusk but even then it still likes to slip.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can give me some feedback or help.

thanks

Jamie

do you load it quickly or gently?

you need confidence and have to sit back for it to bite, if your doing it gingerly it won't grab.

just a thought.

Thanks for all of the replies, ill post a picture of my setup tomorrow when I am out.

ill give the sharp let go a shot tomorrow, I believe I haven't been doing that, because I have been unsure on the fact that it wasn't loading once Im off the ground.

looking forward to trying it, hope it works as I quite the spiderjack.

also it is brand new.

it's it's brand new it might take a little use to bed in too

get used to loading it quick from not very high up and get your confidence up, it'll soon be second nature to you, enjoy your spider jack!
