As hodge said they are very bass heavy with no way of turning it down. Saying that I'm on my second Makita radio, they are the dogs..... Don't get leaving it outside, they ain't waterproof...... That's why I'm on my second one.:blushing:

 

No idea what the difference is between the 104 and the 106. Makita radios are a bit like Apple products, you buy the latest one and a few months down the line it's the old one.

got a View Quest DAB radio in the workshop, bit of a 50s retro feel to it but the sound is excellent as it is stereo and with a wooden box.

 

The best thing is it picks up all the "Absolute" series of channels and Absolute 80s and Absolute Rock is the way to go IMO, Soooooo much better than just about every local or national station......Heart......more choice....my arse:001_rolleyes::lol:
