Job advice

Hi everyone hope your all well

I am hoping someone might be able to give me some advice as everyone on here so far has been nothing but extremely helpful, at the beginning of this year I left my job to join the the Arb industry as it has been something I wanted to do for a long time and felt passionate about, at first this was a great decision as I loved everyday and was doing very well (according to my employer and team leader), bad luck hit and Scottish power pulled the contracts to the company my employer sub contracted to and everyone else, my employer has since gone into administration :(

I am wondering if anyone knows of anyone in the north Wales or surrounding area that is looking for anyone in my position?

I am still new to the industry but during my time with my previous employer I had a mixture of ground and basic climbing experience

I have so far completed my UA1 with NPTC and I have my Wips authorisation with Scottish power. I went through the training for my 30/31 and 38/39 about 2 months ago but wasn't put in for the assesment due to my employers financial problems, I have all my own PPE and ground and climbing saw.

I hope someone can offer some advice or knows anyone who might be looking for someone in my positions as I am extremely keen to stay in the industry.

Sorry to read about your job situation. I don't know what other skills you have but perhaps moving sideways into a related industry may be worth considering. Why not post a bit more about yourself and any other skills you have etc and you never know you might just a bite. It might lead to something full time or even temporary but you never know:001_smile:

Thanks for your reply at the moment my main focus is to try my best to continue on the path I started on and continue to develop my skills and progress as an arborist, that my not be possible until the contracts from Scottish power are restarted I don't know :( , but I loved my time in the industry until all this happened so hopefully I will get a chance to continue

Thanks to you both for the info :) and I will keep both options in mind, i am currently talking with Someone local who might possibly be able to offer me a few days a week on a self employed basis so I will see how that pans out before I make any decisions.
