What to do to this oak?

This poor fellow was smothered by leylandii and has grown sideways to try and get a bit of light. The offenders have since been given their marching orders but I'm wondering what to do next:

 

 

Thinking the branch on the right needs to come off but should I cut it now or wait until winter?

Let nature take it's course, then maybe formative prune in a few years time?

as above - as growth from dormant buds increases in time reduce the other side to help balance the shape - in several yrs it will look great

It will fill out eventually now its got some light .

So leave the branch where it is? Don't want it to fall over when it gets bigger.
