The Red Soles of the Oregon...we dreamed of wearing these clumped along on our brown Stihl Tractor soles

I really liked those old stihl boots, well eventually. They were awful for a while but once they bedded in the pair I had were comfy.

Never had a pair of the Oregon greens but did have a pair of Black oregon's with red soles in the late 90's - never seen another pair but they were just like an army boot but with a an extra tongue made of saw protection sewn in under the normal one. Have a feeling they'd been sat on a helf at the dealer's for a lot of years before I ended up with them.

I think I had about 4pair of those, in a year, they just fell apart. Obviously grounding, being harder on the sole (soul) took it toll on them quicker. A mate had the Stihl tractor ones they lasted much better, but I wouldn't buy them, clumpy great things. The only plus for the Oregon greens was the comfort factor.

Anyone else have a pair of greens with the laces on the back? Utterly useless lol

Was just about to mention them. Quite a nifty way to get the chainsaw protection up a bit, just not very good in practice.
