Fmv crane and trailer

Hi,

I have a FMV crane on a 6 ton trailer. The trailer has swing down support legs.

Did Anyone use these trailers back in the day and could explain how the legs actually worked, as mine have been modified so are not original.

At the moment I drive up on to the legs to support the trailer which works well but I will need to make them adjustable on un level terrain.

Cheers

I never had one but was put to shame by a bloke that loaded an artic each day with one pulled by a ford 4000. Basically you drive forward with them dangling , stop, reverse a bit to lock them in position and start loading.
