Since owning a pantin and an Ms 150 I've had no bother at all, up until that point it was a running niggle

 

 

I had a pantin a few year back but got nicked when someone drove off in the work van, I even remember them waving as they drove up the road!!! I shall prob get another one!!

Honestly I couldn't be without mine now, don't use it for small/medium trees but anything resembling long multiple spikeless ascents it goes on

I had tendonitis in my right elbow in January - it took 3 months and an enforced very easy time at work to clear up, even swinging the saw on the ground aggravated it.

 

It still flares up now if I have a hard day climbing or feeding the chipper. The next day is when it's worst. You've got to stop doing what's causing it - that's what worked with me.

 

enrieb - what were the exercises you were given?

 

The physio gave me general rotator cuff exercises, the supraspinatus was speciffically targeted as being weak. Any youtube video about supraspinatus will show a few different excercies. I would also recommend scapular pull ups and other scapular stabilisation exercises as well, after looking into it.

Bit of a derail-What can your do for Carpal tunnel?I started getting it for the first time last week after day dismantling and cutting firewood all day

 

I can't really recommend much, there are so many potential causes and fixes for Carpal tunnel.

It's always best to see a private sports physio, they understand physically demanding jobs more than a normal NHS physio, that might just be dealing with elderly patients or people with sore wrists from typing.

 

this page has some info on massaging and stretching parts of the hand that can cause pressure on the Medial Nerve.

Usually carpal tunnel pain results from swelling putting pressure on the nerve, so ibroprofen or ice can help reduce swelling.
