Unimog to landrover

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

We are downsizing from our mog u1000, looking to get a LR tipper. Does anyone have any thoughts on what to look for..... 130 or 110, ready made tipper or get it done ourselves. Engine type, etc etc.

any thoughts, good or bad experiences

That is one big downsize. 110s and 130s are limited on space for everything. I run a 110 tipper. The main thing is to know you have chip tips close by. The main issues are pretty trivial. Bushes wear when heavily loaded. Earlier transfer boxes are a serviceable part if carrying alot of weight and towing. Watch out for rust but you would know that owning a mog. The big thing like I said is the loss of capacity
