1986 storm oak boards.

Where are these oak boards? I was talking to someone who worked for a guy who went straight out the morning after the storm and blew £30k on a mobile bandsaw mill. Went out planking everywhere in kent/ e sussex- one job they cut hundreds of tonnes of oak for a country estate- and it was stacked in a barn!

 

I was at boarding school in ashford, and crikey the wind whistled outside and shook the sash windows. In the morning, every tree and shed at school had disappeared. Lush- we were tidying up for days instead if doing lessons.
