Timberwolf PTO 300

We have badly worn bottom feed roller have removed motor but are unable to remove roller from housing due to bearing shaft on other end,

 

how do we remove this shaft ? the roller cannot be lifted out with this on

hiya wrw have you any pictures ?? how old is the chipper ?? if your stuck look through the members list for one called timberwolf and ask them as its a timberwolf tec , they will not get it till tomorrow but will give you the right info , but untill them im happy to try and help

if its the same as mine the other end runs on a green plastic plug / bush thingy.

 

theres 2 threaded bolt holes that you screw a 12mm(?) bolt in to draw the plug out

 

this plug bush has a grease nipple in the middle that has to be lined up with a tube inside for lubrication

I think it is a fairly early model, there is no plastic bush , i have removed the support bearing but cannot seem to get any joy with shaft with grease nipple in coming out of the roller

try taking some of the feed roler blades off , i had something like this happen with my tw190 , i found the only way to ret the spline adoptor out was to remove half of the feed roler blades , shame you dont have any pictures mate

Thanks david the dig you have is the correct one , part 15 is seized into the roller one being steel the other cast am going to remove with oxy and replace with modified version without bearing. spoke to Graham in workshop at orange plant great help, new motor just under £700 2 weeks wait !!
