If you've done that with a standard bar then hats off to you! Great job.

I think dervish was suggesting you have a natural talent and it would make sense to invest in a detail bar, especially if you want to tackle Mr toad. Once you get a carving bar you'll wonder how you managed without one. Keep up the good work and keep on posting :-)

Ta very much. I didn't think it was that bad. Can see why so few post pictures on this section anymore.

Don't think there was any offence meant here merely seems to be saying that it might be an Idea to purchase a carving setup down to the fact that you were saying you'd need 1 to do a carving that your wife wants judging by what you've created with your standard bar with a carving bar you'll have no trouble.

Good job on the carving by the way.

gosh, now i know why i dont tend to comment on pictures from people i dont know, the risks are huge. Get a carving set-up and see how far you can stretch yourself, and maybe worry less about what comments are made by strangers on what is, in effect, organised graffiti-walls :) glad to see i wasnt misunderstood upon second look.

i like the piece, has balance and symmetry whilst retaining a lovely gentle comic charm and is very much 'of the now' kids will love it, irrespective of their age
