I climb on 11mm rope on a hitchclimber, 8mm friction cord. It's lovely but a bit hard on the hands.


I'll be getting Cougar Blue next.


For 13mm Yale XTC is hard to beat.

I climb DdRT a lot on 11.5mm Tachyon and have never had a problem with it. Your hands get used to it pretty quickly and it will also work well if you decide to move into SRT in the future. It will also most likely be considerably lighter than 13mm.

New England tachyon the teufleburgher one, best of both worlds and good with the hitchclimber set up, failing that any of the poison Ivy's
