This is a bargain and you could make it any length you like, only drawback is it's a bit far away from you, maybe you get get someone on here to help collect it?

Cole jaws are expensive save yourself a lot of money by mounting a rubber ring to your chuck then bring the live centre up to hold the bowl in place.

As soon as Mr Gnome posted the link i checked it out and it had already been removed.

Since im getting a bit down about this lol, and my farther in law wants to chip in aswell. I think im gunna hold off for 6months and get a nova dvr-xp.

Might aswell sort out a space for it and have one lathe for a life time. Even if i dont do any turning for a while itll be there for when i retire lol

Having a good workspace is a project in itself Dan. While saving for the lathe that you want you can be spending time making jigs for sharpening the turning tools and building adequate storage for all the bits and pieces. cabinets are better than shelves as the dust and shavings won't get everywhere. I put tarps up to cover stuff to limit tidying up time.

Being organised gives you more time turning.
