If buying second hand try to buy complete with extras as amazing how much chucks and tool rests ect cost.

My first lathe was £130 and then bought a chuck at £150:confused1:

Local Woodturning clubs often have members upgrading or passed away:blushing:

The Coronet in Steves link could be real bargain. It's what I have and not that I'm a great turner but the lathe is more than capable and you can turn big bowls with the swiveling headstock. Think they cost £600 20 years back
