Fans on log burner?

We have 2 fans on top of our 12kw stove and they really do distribute the heat well. A thermal image of a running stove shows you that most of the heat is within a few feet around the stove and then obviously straight up towards the ceiling. With a fan running the heat is evenly spread around the room. If I have to go to the bathroom in the night, I can feel the heat at the top of the stairs, works for us!

Have thought of one.......but use an old electric fan when I need to. Too tight to fork out for a fancy piece of twisted metal:001_tongue:

 

I get you being too tight (!) but the thing's hypnotic: you don't watch the twisted metal (which may need a bit of straightening out of the wrapping) - you watch the engine.
