Melbourne Australia Arborist/ Irata level 2

Well am off to Melbourne June 24th, I Was just wondering if theres any lads working out there on this at moment? if they have any contacts or companies worth contacting, Although am off on working holiday visa with the misses so I have flexibility to travel within Aussie wherever work is.I have predominately been working as rope access technician/rigger of late in wide in a variety of Irata rope access work mainly Masonry Viaduct core drilling works, but I am open of making a return to the Arb industry down under. My background has been commercial Arb a lot of rigging work and dismantling, pruning, section felling and was a lead climber on the Railway subcontracting. I have experience of working next to overheads electricity lines, but don't hold any utility quals. I am going keep my saws back home, but thinking of taking my Petzl chest attachment and croll harness, compatible for both tree climbing and Irata, I will buy some new kit to take with me but will take little gear, has anyone got previous off making this transition and has any advice? I am flying with ETIHAD airways And only have 30 kg main luggage and 10 kg hand luggage so a pretty limited for kit to take with me. Any feedback is feedback CHEERS guys.

Sounds like you've got most of it covered I fly out to oz in a few days. I'm not taking many clothes but pretty much got my full climbing kit with me flying with Emirates.

Browse the net arb jobs as well just email everyone. Sure you can't go wrong there

If you have your irata and like tree work have a look at the company's doing veg removal on cliff faces, I did it for a couple of years, amazing scenery, grit to swing about all day without having to use a chainsaw.
