I think cutting grass all year round is much healthier for the lawn as long as its not frosty. Also when you first start in March its usally qutie thick a job to cut and without regular mowing the first cut can look awful! I allways like to cut as many times a year as possible. If you maintain a hiegth above 2" and maybe 2.5" in Winter and dont cut in frost you cant go wrong!

I welded the deck on my friend's rusty old mower as it was throwing clippings all over him and he used it last week. He's still cutting the lawn since the snow has gone just on a bit higher cut. Ours is still too wet, I'll leave it till March.

As the title.

I've cut the grass at one of my sites. The warm November kept the grass growing. I had a nice dry windy day today so took the chance to tidy a site up.

Most of my sites are going to need a cut this month.

Anyone else in the same boat?

HI DAVE it all flooded down here mate thanks jon

I intend to start in the blowing East wind in Feb, if we get it.

drys the ground and fair "tobers" the fresh cut grass.(it virtually dissappears overnight in the frost) plus sets back the fresh growth.

Generally start in the rural graveyards and rougher rural sites.

we can then ignore them during the proper start to the urban grass cutting circuit.

Cos generally it is kinda wet here in March into April & May when the growth takes off.
