Fabulous photos. Place in which you want to be. Great job.

Definitely a place I like to be.

Here's something a lot different from other photos I've done. A lot of forest is compressed into this sunny winter day silhouette. Almost needs a poster size image for the details to really show. A redwood "El Viejo Del Norte"

I enjoyed looking at your photos, great trees.

Many thanks for posting them, John

It's fun looking for new places down there to take photos. There are lots of spots with Ent-like forms too, at least with some imagination.

Adam, we're doing another road trip this time round. We found, as long as you stay clear of the bigger centres, travelling is cheap. Way cheaper than staying in hotels in the big cities. Plenty of good road side diners. Eating at restaurants is pricey due to the tipping but get the smaller diners, food carts etc. fuel is also way cheaper than in NZ but best of all; the Americans are polite and helpful and always keen to show off their country and have a yarn. We're already working in the next trip after this one and that's gonna be a cross country road trip.

Definitely true about the affordability.
