yeah they common scraper tractors because of their size and turning ability. mine is early 60's i think, the previous owner had done a total bare metal overhaul and used to show it. we mow about 60 acres a year with it as well as powering a little rotoravtor. lovely little machines and nice and easy to work on

Still quite common on small farms in steep country (Devon) as they're the only thing that won't turn over - usually. My cousin runs two, one as a yard scraper (every day for the last 20+ years) and one for mowing/light cultivation on steep ground using dual wheels and a home-welded scaffolding roll cage (not as strong as it looks!) He has turned it a few times: fetches the other one and a chain, pulls it over and cracks on as if nothing had happened.

Large powerful tractors are all very well but they have limitations on steep ground and narrow tracks. Those old Fergies haven't had their day yet.
