I want to make £200 a day before i even think about machine fuel & everything elsa . It does not play out like that all the time

When I started out in this game I did not charge enough was happy to be working and earning a wage but things change and for a viable long term business you need to price accordingly.

Plus firewood production is hard work I would want £275 for splitter and £375 for the processor they supply tractor for the latter.

We charge £25 per hour + fuel and travel at £0.45 per mile for a processor. Think if we charged some of the prices quoted here we would have no work for it.

But that's what you do, I'm in business for me so I charge what I need to and so do other people. I don't understand these threads where people want to know how much others would charge when there are so many variables. At £200 a day for a man and machine it's not a decent wage after tax etc.

What's is a decent wage?

Rhetorical question realy. Some are happy with 15K a year when others want 50K +

Spent many years earning less than 10K
