not at all father had a large saw mill in the 80s it used to fell appox 45 acres aweek just to keep it running at any one time it had a million cube of timber in the yard, lorrys would carry between 400 to 500 cube which was about 17 to 20 ton

 

 

are you sure?? or am i being stupid:001_tongue: so a transit with a chip box on the back which is say 6cubic meters full of wood weighs (going by youre 28cube-ton) approxmatly 220kgs?

im going by cubic feet imperial measures,

 

easy way is an old hoppus

No he wasn't.

 

A full chip box of wood on a Transit DOES only weigh 220KG. Officer.

 

 

 

 

again i going by the cubic feet imperial measures and saying appox 28 cubic feet of timber is a ton going on the measurements of a hoppus when selling round timber in the uk,

 

 

One hoppus foot = 1.273 true ft3; 27.74 h ft = 1 m3; and 1 h ft = 0.03605m3
