Log Goblins

Leyland c makes a pretty decent firewood. Not bad to split despite its many knots, dries readily and is very dense for softwood.  More energy than sycamore I'd say. Makes super kindling/starter logs

I'm always happy to goblin some Leyland cypress.  I do get to goblin 3 times as much Oak, plenty of false acacia, birch and Holly, but still ask my mate for Leyland to mix in my pile.

Be nice to Gary Prentice.

He’s promised to smuggle in a few treats for you in the next 15 years.

I’d wash them first, like.

Mark I am sending this response to Bletchley Park to have it decoded , keep off the sauce :)

Cutting to handy lengths is always a good idea, as Is halving or quartering rings and awkward big chunks. Leaving out lumps that take 3 men to lift are not normally preferred by the goblins.

Unless Mrs Goblin is ordering you about .Poor old sod was really struggling with this, I did stop and ask him if he needed a hand and she replied " he can manage" poor chap was not even allowed to talk :laugh1:
