Hi all,

Thought you might like to see the latest response from the government.

I think it would help if you the users contacted them on this matter to keep the pressure on.

Dear Mr Bocquillon

Thank you for your letter of 21st October to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, which has been passed to the Treasury.

I am replying as Minister responsible for this policy area.

The promotion of cleaner, sustainable fuels is one of this Government’s priorities, to ensure a future in which we breathe cleaner air and also protect our planet.

However, all tax cuts need to be funded by tax rises or spending cuts elsewhere, and as such, need to be considered carefully in the context of the public finances.

The Government keeps all taxes under review, and all tax changes are announced at fiscal events.

Thank you for taking the trouble to make the Government aware of your concerns.

Yours sincerely

Typical Government hogwash. The problem is the people in charge of these departments are not experts, politicians generally have no clue about how industry functions. We hit exactly the same brick wall when we petitioned them about the driver cpc training.

They will only listen when a significant amount of people start shouting about it.

Both Plumpton college and Hadlow college are customers of ours so I am going to see if the can get the students on their Arb courses to sign up and maybe the colleges themselves can start asking the government questions.
