After scoring the pistons on 2 saws

(Stihl workshop training rep reckons it was down to poor 2 stroke oil)

We're switching to pre-mixed fuel. I can get discounted motomix locally

But will have to travel to get Aspen.

Is there much difference between the two products?

Hi Jon, it varies which is why we want to play safe with pre mixed.

I think we must have used some of that crap red stuff from Wilkos.

The guy from Stihl came to train our lads this week on maintenance and repairs. He was a real gentleman.

Very helpful. He recommended that we switch to pre-mix.

We learned a lot from the Stihl guy,

When our landscapers brought a strimmer to him he plugged a device into the ignition and bluetoothed to a laptop. Then he told them how many hours it had done, how many successful starts and that the strimmer was running a bit lean.

Pre- mix aspen or motomix is definitely the way forward .
