If it makes you feel better I waited a long time before being able to purchase a precision piece of kit. Metabo kit is normally pretty good to be fair
Tbh, I really like metabo gear, have a lot of battery stuff for site work and have a metabo bench saw and planer thicknesser. It's just the fence on the bench saw that's not too brilliant.
