Not so odd really, as the "C" suffix is used in connection with several different features in Stihl model numbers. :001_smile:

 

 

The C stands for comfort, not quite sure what constitutes that suffix, it's the M that indicates the self-tuning carb, there was a C version prior to the m-tronic version

Shock horror:001_rolleyes: I have worked on a couple of the convential carb models and had very stupidly thought the MS362-C was standard carb and MS362 C-M or MS362 C-MQ were the Mtronic ones:001_rolleyes::lol:

 

If it is under warranty then get it back to the seller - these autotune carbs are a PITA in my opinion, great when they work but awful when playing up - you just can't get a logical angle or feel on them. Normal carbs can be bad enough but these.......and the software is damn expensive - not even sure the Stihl version is available to us mere mortals:sneaky2:

Yes, it basically just means it is not the standard version (or a standard heated version).

Oh the software is available, if it has the same plug as the husky auto tune, then it's effectively a 576 reset. If not, it's £350

 

Could well be - as far as I know, Stihl pay royalties to Husky for the use of the early AT technology in the M-tronic.

Hey guys my 362c keeps stalling after I let off the throttle.

 

It doesn't every time but enough times for it to annoy me. Plus it doesn't like starting after it does stall.

 

Already taken it in to a stihl dealer and they couldn't find a problem. Plugged in the carb and it said it was ok as well. just came away feeling stupid and £10 worse off! He did replace the spark plug which didn't remedy it.

 

Any thoughts? Cheers

 

Mines is back at the dealers. I'll let you know what happens.
