A lot of clients “tip” me a bottle of that stuff. Goes undrunk for the main part!

Is your’s cloudy or clear?

Hi Mick, its clearing & drinking well should be better at Christmas. If its cloudy you just need to leave the sediment to drop out then decant, then you should try some!

Anyone tried naked wines?  Keep seeing their ads everywhere

A bit hit and miss on the Naked Wines, not the best wine and they like you to buy regularly after the first deal....... we use The wine Society as it is local + very good and also make full use of the Tesco 25% off which they have most Bank Holidays - just get a few favourites they discount regularly and get double bubble when they do the 25% off:thumbup:

open the chateauneuf??

your a lucky man - Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the best heavy red wines I've  tried. Seem to remember italian Barolo is similar.

Nuits Saint Georges and Cotes de Nuits Villages are also worth a swig, if you can bear to part with the readies. I can't these days. I can remember the flavours and relive the experience almost as good as in the present without having to graft for it

I love full bodied red, I hate any red that leaves an after taste!

The chateauneuf I bought 2 bottles of last year when we visited friends in Sablet , it’s from a vineyard in Sablet we drank 1 last year and saved the other for after we had the little ‘un, he’s just started sleeping through so it’s our first cheese board and red wine night for about 12 months. The same friend brought the l’amandine back and gave it to me for removing an alder and 2 apple Trees from his mother in laws. He didn’t charge us for staying with them last year and we may be going this year (again free digs) if it fits with the daughters pre school holidays, so naturally I didn’t charge him for half a days graft! He insisted on me having a bottle of red however and I’m not rude enough to say no :D

Tough indeed, although the last bottle of chateauneuf I had was terrible.

Nice cheese boards

Yes I find Barolo and chateauneuf a minefield, the best Barolo I have ever had cost €9 a bottle in sestriere, we where skiing and when finished noticed a cafe bar that was mad busy with locals (not skiing) it didn’t look much but wow what a place.
