Had my crusher pinched with the trailer. Last seen in yaxley, peterborough. Distinctive trailer (sprayed red ), very rare crusher, so hard to offload. Guy hired but has not returned it, no payment, payg mobile, sent someone else to collect. Still waiting for the police to come round..

He has done this before i have found out today :(

Sadly he was supposed to pay bacs, but it did not come through. Got an email from him., and details of the one man van man he used to collect it, so I suspect its been parked up in a yard somewhere. These things are hard to sell on as there is only one suppler for parts, and they need a serial number to order, so its going to surface at some point. Still waiting for the police 24 hours later

Have you kosher details of the one man and van - who collected it? I've got stuff back and know of others, who have had to resort to self-help to get stuff back. A bit of detective work, maybe.

Good luck.

Yes. I got his website, and there is a picture of him next to the van. He came with another guy who said he was the hirers son.

he stole two tracked dumpers and a crusher of my suppliers in similar circumstances, and they saw one of them on ebay. Police caught the guy delivering it and he was paid cash in the pub to deliver it. They are still investigating that, now if they ever get round here, we can add to the dossier.

I was thinking of ringing up the van man and ask where he delivered it to, but if he is in on it, it might not work, plus I did not want to interfere with any police investigation

Bad news Dan! Sounds like best bet will be tracking via spares ordering but I bet he will have sold it on by then to a third party. But if the third party buys it at a knock down / no questions asked price then they'll get what they deserve for buying (then losing) hooky gear.

Fingers crossed for a speedy return! What sort of day / week rate were you hiring for if you don't mind my asking? I've got a cow shed that needs the floor out, was thinking about a crusher so as to reuse the rubble.

Doesn't sound as if there is much investigation to interfere with. :sneaky2:
