I have considered using small hedge cutter and chainsaw with lithium ion but what realy puts me off is the cost of battery's if you think of a drill its fine on batteries cuase most of the time you use it for short bursts. A hedge cutter or brush cutter going all day will burn through batteries in no time specialy on a fast charge and at over a £100 a go you cant beat a tub of 2 stroke unleaded for a days work at around £8!

i'm interested to know this as im thinking of replacing my stihl 4 stroke strimmer

I didn't know Stihl made a 4 stroke strimmer - thought it was just Dolmar & Honda.

Swap your 4 stroke Stihl for my invisible battery strimmer?

They do indeed make one, or at least they did at some point. I don't believe its in their catalogue though for some reason.

Yes very true. But from what I've researched it would work/ cut fine (if you had enough batteries).... I figured it's not the technology that's the problem; it's the multiple battery cost.

I'm in no rush and now looking into Kune Kune pigs to control the acres of meadow (they eat plenty of grass & don't usually uproot very much). Cheers, steve

By 4 stroke do you mean 4 mix? (I'm not sure what 4 mix is?) cheers, steve
