The wood briquettes burn well. Not much fuss involved in getting them to burn. Marketing wise I'm not sure. I'm sure at the right price the demand will be there. I have a demand for conifer at the moment which shows you really can sell anything at the right price. If I were selling the briquettes I'd sell them similar to prepacked coal so you can multidrop bags.

We use quite a few of the compacted sawdust briquettes. They're manufactured locally and we get a good deal direct from the firm. The retail price is expensive in my view.

 

They burn very well - throw out a lot of heat in a very short space of time. They seem to work best for us (in our stoves and Esse cooker) when you give them plenty of air.

 

They do produce a fair amount of fine, grey ash, probably more than when using dry wood as a fuel.
