I honestly think about 90% of arborists aren't interested in comps I'm certinatly not. I'd rather spend my free time with my family or pick weeds out of my garden. I've seen a few comps at the shows and quite a few competitors seemed to be collage students I'm not knocking them but it doesn't make more entertaining for the spectators, I'll be brutally honest it is a boring 'sport' to watch

This is the feedback that the powers that be need. Why are "90%" of the industry not interested in the UK yet here it draws a lot of people? What are the cultural differences? Is it that the comps arent fun enough? Too many rules? Elitist? Boring? I think these are the important things for the ITCC to know about to improve .

Okay, I don't know the terminology but the people who the run the event.

That would be the ISA UK&I chapter. The AA is an entirely separate organisation

The chapter has a sub group that runs the TCC largely autonomously, unless things have changed drastically.

If I climb , I want to be paid... everyone to there own thing.....

Seen them before at shows and seem full of gear junkies.. Half the lads I see fly up the tree, but give them a saw and its game over.. As said each to there own
