Rope not tending

hey mark , your pantin should be holding your rope in place while the Hass is sliding up, if I'm imagining it correctly , try having pressure on your foot ascender when progressing the Hass

It could be that your holding your weight in your arms and not on your legs

I just sat my rope bag with the rest of the rope in it on top of the rope. My pantin needed a bit of weight in the rope but the haas was fine. Seemed to work ok.

James that's what I used to do with my Pantin and it worked ok. This isn't a HAAS thing really, just the Pantin.

Tired old rope I think.

It's not a big issue really, just annoying when I'm on my own playing about with new stuff.

Also, a Rich Rule tip. On SRT takedowns you can run up stems on spikes with your hitch and RW advancing without tending, but only if the tail of your line is taut.

If on srt, clip your rope bag to the end of the line, just off the ground. However I have used PI with various ascenders and found it is not that great with mechanicals, lovely in the hand though and superb with a hitch. Recently switched to blue tongue and love it. What ascender is used with the haas?

CMI.

I've tried all that, but there is too much stretch in the PI, so the bag ends up on the floor unless I get to about 6' then do it, which is a pita.

What's the stretch like in the Blue Tongue?
