What's wrong with goat willow? Any quick growing tree is good in my book

It's a very good tree, good for bees, pollards easily which benefits butterflies, moths and many birds. Makes good firewood to get a fire going and as it's quite fast growing so you'll get plenty

Many trees are good for wildlife and many are better than Goaty.

Its dreadful firewood, it will start sprouting while its in the pile and takes eons to dry out, plenty of rubbish wood is still rubbish wood.
