Bit harsh IMO. It's gotta be scary making the jump. You want to be competitive but make a profit.

Lots of unexpected cost and variables.

It's not harsh Joe.

Pricing is the most important part of running a business.

You wouldn't make the jump without learning how to use a saw, would you?

Looking at hopefully starting up as self employed/business fairly soon.

 

What are people rates they charge/how do you work out the costings

 

This is how you calculate your rates.

 

Work out your overheads for the first year.

Add on whatever you want to earn.

Divide by the number of days you want to work.

 

That is the amount you need to bring in every day you work.
