he needs to be sueing the guy he was working for + had he been using a 2,nd point off atachment ,he may not of fallen, looks like lack of experiance, he may even have cut his rope ,its a bit shy on facts surronding the incident !!

 

It says he was self-employed, he was working for the NT he tried suing them and lost.

Mr Yates, who was self-employed and working for an independent contractor, had never dismantled a tree of such height before and did not have the certificate relating to sectional felling.

Sorry, read it as "working as an independent contractor".

 

Seems strange he did not go after the main contractor?
