Tool hook

Recommended Posts

If you over load a screw gate krab ie tie to a tree and pull with a truck the gate will always face inwards, but you can still do the gate up if needed.. Just don't get it caught rigging as unlike a caritool that will snap it will drag you out of the tree but in those sort of situations you can still lock the gate if you have a line running past your saw side.

caritool here too........its annoying on a treemotion tho as it keeps poppin off where its supposed to live, was far more secure on my dragonfly.

You can secure it with a cable tie through the small hole at the top of the CariTool.

Here it is

Tool Karabiners

Ive not seen them before, certainly looks more up to the job.

Only problem I envisage is the webbing on my willans harness is very wide and I struggled to get the large carritool in place, however I may be able to make an adjustment to fit one of those.

I've a TreeMotion and use both cari-tools and bent gate karabiners; I've had a number of the cari-tools break on me when climbing up through conifers and other tight crowns hence the move to the karabiner option.

Exactly the same here, normally have the wire gate pulled off

These are top notch. Been rocking one a couple years now without a hitch, much prefer it to caritools.

Not even out of its infancy.

I have one that's been in regular service for more than ten years.

That's pretty impressive, I would've imagined the spring would go before then. Decent bit of kit!
