saw and heard the first nigthingale and a bumble and a butterfly.

but the nightingle stopped and listened then got a glismps of it as it flew over. made my day spring is on its way. we hope if the weather does not have a hissy fit again and snows.

My wife swears she saw one 2 weeks ago come into the stables . I have to to say I did not witness this but she says so ........

Seen a few peacock butterflies out of hibernation. The first brimstones should be about soon. Unfortunately we've not had nightingales up here for a long time.

No can't come back yet, need to get up and paint the facials. We are really lucky to have a colony of 30+ house martins that nest under the facia. They normally arrive with the Swallows.

Heard 8 chiffchaffs today and seen lots of Brimstone, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral butterflies and saw the first pair of Orange tip.
