As in Whoopie ie a rigging sling see the HSE rigging research PDF in the rigging and roping thread

if its a whoopie sling, they are pretty simple once you work out how it works, i snapped one once, not that big a fan. i prefer just to use strops:001_smile:

i bought a climbing sling the other day. After seeing another climber rigging off one. i didn't get time to ask how he used it. Any advice?

You didnt say what type of sling,Was it an endless tape sling? I use 3 Lyonslings for climbing either as false footholds or attaching to branches so i hold the sling while i cut the limb so it dont drop. I also use some as light weight rigging.

I'm thinking of getting some slings, deffo would come in handy for false footholds. Can anyone advice on amount and length? I'm thinking 3 of various lengths but not sure what.

they are only cheap, get 2 of each length. always usefull.
