Weed Control - newly planted trees

I just wondered if it might get drawn up into the roots

It's foliar application.

And soil drenching is not the way to apply it. Or not that heavy.

I also remember my Pesticide instructor in college, saying that soil wreaks such havock on the active ingredient ...

When you think about how little was poured in the tank mix. Then figure it's a percentage of mere ounces, and a micro fraction of that is sprayed, then even less gets to the ground, what difference would it make? Of any significance?

I charged £30 for what you would charge £4 +chemicals. My 400m3 took an hour and half including traveling mixing etc. I take it you use a tractor sprayer.:confused1:

No i spray on foot. Generally i work long days, and can spot spray 1 1/2 to 2 hectares a day. But that depends on terrain

I presume you have a water tank in your truck if you're using a 20litre napsack sprayer that's a lot of refills.

Don't you find it mind numbingly boring or do you just plug your iPod in and sing to yourself all day.

I have a ibc in the trailer, which will last for four days including washing out. It also means that i am not transporting water every day. When i fill up the tank ( solo 425,15l) i also fill a tanks worth into an empty 20l container and take that with me so that i am doing two tanks for one walk.

I enjoy spraying as i can only spray in dry weather, and it is quiet with no noisy chainsaws.

Are you an ordinary normal human being or just an automaton.
